My hard drive recently failed and i found out it was part of the 2007-2011 imac 27" recalled products. i am past the free repair date of april 12th 2013 however i don't understand how a recalled product can have an expiry for replacement.. Apple has begun sending emails about a new hard drive recall, called the imac 1tb seagate hard drive replacement program: apple has determined that a very small number of seagate 1tb hard drives. Apple wants my bank account number i have an imac that had the defective seagate drive. i had the drive replaced at my own expense at an apple store earlier this year. after receiving the recall.
